i may or may not be getting a promotion. this is vital, vital information as, in the next month i:

need to get my car smog checked (the boy says something is wrong with the exhaust, so that will need to be fixed. i just thought i had a smelly car. apparently this is what boys are for).

have to pay my 2nd traffic ticket of the year. $381.

am enrolling in a class (perhaps a program) at ucla extension for summer.

need to book my tickets for oregon-oh-eight, the name for my state-wide tour this early fall: to portland for the n/k wedding, to the coast for gambling with the indian, and to portland to stay with the newly shacked-up.

i think if you add all that up, you get close to 9 million dollars that has to come out of my meager light green snap wallet from target. which, right now, contains the change from my $1.69 coffee this morning.

at least it feels like 9 million dollars. might as well be.

am not writing about the promotion just yet. waiting til i get it on paper.

in other news, it ocurred to me on sunday that it has only been 4 and a half months since i quit the job with the family.
